Did God send Jesus to die for some or all men? The system of calvinistic theology stands or falls on the answer to this simple question. What saith the Holy Scriptures?
If God preselected some to salvation and some to damnation, we must ask whether or not Jesus Christ came to die for all or just some men. What does His Word tell us of this matter?
“And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the WHOLE world.” 1 John 2:2
“God … Who will have ALL men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:3-4
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that ANY should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9
“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to ALL (not some) men.” Titus 2:11
“Therefore as by the offence of one JUDGMENT CAME UPON ALL MEN to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one THE FREE GIFT CAME UPON ALL MEN unto justification of life.” Romans 5:18
“And I, if I be lifted up (on the cross) from the earth, will draw ALL men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die.” John 12:32-33
How many people will Jesus “draw” to Himself to be saved by His death and resurrection? – “ALL”
The doctrines of calvinism clearly and brazenly call the very Son of God a liar. Before going to the cross to died for “the sins of the WHOLE world,” Jesus said: “And I, if I be lifted up (on the cross) from the earth, will draw ALL men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die.” (John 12:32-33)
Nothing could be more clear in Scripture than the truth that Jesus Christ paid for the sins of “the WHOLE world” and gives ALL of mankind – “whosoever will” – the choice to receive or to reject His “water of (eternal) life,” to receive or reject Him (Mk. 16:16; Rev. 22:17). This one truth alone negates any possibility that the doctrines of Calvin/Reformed Theology could be true. Without exception, the true Bible believer must and will reject calvinism’s teachings as heretical.
God’s Word tells us that “one died for ALL” and not just some (2 Cor. 5:14). An honest reading of Holy Scripture will reveal that nothing could be clearer.
“ALL have sinned” and “one died for ALL.” (Romans 3:23; 2 Cor. 5:14) God solved the problem of sin by the sacrifice of His only begotten Son for “ALL” men – “for the sins of the WHOLE world.” (John 3:16; 1 John 2:2)
“… we thus judge, that if one died for ALL, then were all dead: 15 And that he died for ALL …” (2 Cor 5:14-15)
Passages teaching general redemption/He died for ALL MEN and proving that God is not a liar when He told us that
“There is NO RESPECTER OF PERSON’S WITH GOD.” (Romans 2:11):
Jn 6:37-40
Jn 1:29
Jn 3:16,17, 12:47b
Jn 5:34,40 Jesus said this to His enemies, with 11:42,45,46
…Jn 7:17
2 Cor 5:14,15,18
1 Tim 2:4,6
Tit 2:11
1 Jn 2:2
Heb 2:9
After reading this overwhelming evidence straight from God’s very Word, anyone still believing that Jesus only came to die for some, is not of God. Why? Read what Jesus says in John 8:47.
Any person who still believes this dead man’s heresies is an idolater who has rejected Christ by rejecting His blessed Word.
