How to Have a “A Continual Feast”

Are You Feasting – Continually?

“All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.” Proverbs 15:15

Beloved of God, are you experiencing what the Word says is “a continual feast”? Firstly, if God’s Word mentions such a term, we know that it is a reality that can be experienced by those who know Him.

Continually seeking the face of the LORD assures us that His life, love, and joy will continue to fill us and all those blessed “benefits” of His divine nature (Psalms 103:2; 2 Peter 1:3-4).

Unbroken fellowship, abiding in Him who is the Vine, is essential to having “a continual feast.”

Note below how the LORD’s servant Jeremiah’s heart was filled to overflowing with the joy of the LORD which is our strength:

Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.” Jeremiah 15:16
Seeking His Beautiful Face

Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. “Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. 10Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. 11Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.” 1 Chronicles 16:8-11

The joy of the LORD is going to be your perpetual strength as you set your heart to seek His face and not self-interests or the fleeting trinkets of this sinful world (1 John 2:14-17).

If you are experiencing spiritual famine instead of spiritual feast, it’s because of the lack of seeking the LORD’s “face continually.” When you seek His holy and worthy face “continually,” His blessed joy is going to fill and teem in your heart as He blesses you with His banqueting table of infinite treasures. When we truly put Him “first” (and first means first), by determining that His holy face is the very first thought that is going to dominate our minds and affections, the victory is at hand!

Go after Him because He is worthy! Begin by repenting  turning or re-turning to Him with your whole heart, asking Him to forgive the idolatry of your heart.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

Memorize 1 Chronicles 16:11, Jeremiah 15:16, Matthew 6:33, and Proverbs 15:15. Write them on index cards with Scripture reference and carry them around and say them aloud until they are committed to memory. Your life is about to take an upward swing into victory as you humble yourself and put Him first in earnest!
