TO WHOM AM I LOOKING? Where is my faith? – “Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.” Isaiah 51:1
The sin of unbelief underlies all sin and comes out of “an evil heart.” (Hebrews 3:12-15)
Good prayer to pray as did the original twelve – “And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.” (Luke 17:5)
Another good prayer to pray: A needy man in need cried out to the unchanging LORD – “And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” (Mark 9:24)
“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.” Ephesians 1:17-19
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please help me to understand You a bit more today. I am but dust but LORD, You can open my eyes to behold You and I ask that You do so today. In Jesus’ name I repent of unbelief and ask You to increase my faith. I love You LORD and am eagerly expecting Your soon return!
